"An excellent film of a unique community and its geography - raw but realistic."

"Sheer delight. The mise en scene was perfect. Casting (all unknown to me) spot on. I found it more poignant than funny but that's just me! "

"Some merit - for sci-fi afficionados - but NOT suitable for CFS and NOT up to usual standard. Please keep off sci-fi with possible exception of a very few Golden Oldies. Some sci without the fi would be very acceptable, e.g. documentaries including old ones such as "Man of Aran", "Night Mail". May this please be considered?"
Peter Whitestone

"The last film of the season was TERRIBLE. We were very annoyed that there were insufficient voting slips so we could not register our displeasure. Was this a ploy to keep the annual figures up because I am sure the majority of members would have given "Moon" a poor rating. Whatever you have in mind for next season can you please avoid sci-fi and horror. And personally I could do without films from Iran and similar countries. What about showing a typical Children's Saturday programme from the 1950s? A "Three Stooges" short, cowboy film with Johnnie Mack Brown, ending with an episode of Flash Gordon (now THAT's sci-fi)?"
Alan Stockwell
