The Visitor
"Thank you Cranbrook Film Society for a very moving and poignant film about, as I saw it, amongst other themes, the fragility
of democracy and freedom and the ruthlessness behind the notion of the American dream, particularly against the backdrop of developments
after 9/11. My expectations of tonight's film were high and I am glad to say that I was not disappointed. A well-timed showing. The short film
I thought was sharp and thought-provoking. Well done for an excellent start to the season. I look forward to the rest."

"Loved the film. The build up and pathos were brilliant and you felt his crisis at the end personally. Mona was great too. Really good.
Enjoyed the short film too."

"A clever film which I found quite moving at parts, especially as you know the eventual fate of many of the characters. The fractured time structure worked pretty well, and it wasn't too difficult to follow, however, I thought that this made the motives and development of some characters seem a little shallow, especially as many of them are introduced and dealt with in a single sequence. Though overall it was a powerful film, especially the final sequence which was both brutal and very effectively portrayed.
